My latest medical thing is that the vet said that I was borderline diabetic, so he prescribed some medication. So, I bought one of those blood glucose test kits just to check myself.

The problem is that the readings keep bouncing around - so, I just record the readings that are in the normal zone -

HINT FOR NEW USERS: The kit comes with a pricker/stabber thing to get a blood sample. It's graduated from 1-5. DO NOT start on #5 -

Um. Where? Chicago Region SCCA? How long ago? I'd urge you to give them and/or TSSCC a chance. Same rules, so I can't say the Dakota wouldn't run into the same issue either place on roll over risk (and any other club I'd ever run with). Has to be wider than it is tall, no exceptions. Your description doesn't jive with what I see, but I haven't been a new face for some time. If you'd said less than helpful to newbies a few years ago, yeah - and that's being given some attention. I run timing for CR (can be called to the timing trailer at any time plus there early and late) and still took time to ride/coach two different drivers, and a couple more just in conversation. Laughing at you? Not sure that was any of the regulars. Or it was one of the grumpy ones that dishes crap on everyone (not a great first impression...) PM if it's helpful, assuming you're close enough to Joliet to be worth a look, I'd like to both help make sure it's not happening still, and maybe see you join us for another go. My current delemma:
My walk-behind lawnmower leaks oil and leaves a slightly silvery oil pool on the mower deck and splatter all over everything else every time I now the lawn. Do I
1. Get a new mower, then take this one apart at my leisure and rebuild it
2. Pay someone to fix it (again)

I've had this situation arise several times. I would recommend that you junk that mower or relegate it to "bush hog" status to mow in rough areas.

Then go buy a new mower.

It will be fun - just remember to put oil in it first -

in my exp construction is a shit industry. almost nothing will stop you from being able to get even the most basic jobs. hell, we've had labor on jobs that lived in half-way houses(aka I just got out of prison and they're trying to transition me to normal life since it's been so long) working as labor on jobs. we even bought them basic tools and PPE so they could start on something besides cleaning up garbage.

many of our foreman are high level drunks. I'm talking the type that have a beer before they brush their teeth in the morning.

it's the bottom barrel of society. even the office staff aren't much better. and until legit schools started offering Construction Management degrees nobody actually went to school to "get into" construction. most people tried and failed at something else and ended up here. nobody field or office can plan 2 inches in front of their faces. even when they know they'll need something they will wait on purpose so it's an emergency when they actually need it.

I could go on for hours as to why this industry sucks. shady owners and shady labor providers that will call immigration at the end of a job so their labor gets arrested and they don't have to pay them. yeah that happens. not at my co(it's to big) but smaller ones.

this is why I'm going back to school. I have to get out and the hard part is once you're in it's hard to get out. tenure is the largest determining factor to pay. doesn't matter how shitty you are at your job. "But he's been here for 10 years" means everything and it's driving me nuts.

dude, there's better companies out there. but there's more s.hitty ones. i've worked for both.

my dad's a type 2. so i unfortunately know way too much about it... when his readings are all over, it generally has to do with not eating on time, or overeating. but he's also on a few variations of insulin, so his dosages of that affect the readings as well. it's like balancing an egg on 3 stacked chairs!

buy a new mower. they're cheap enough now to be disposable. the diagnosis charge just to inspect most mowers will buy new one.
