The main thing that worries me about hydrogen powered cars is the last prototype I saw used 2 big ass hydrogen tanks that ran the entire length of the car and stored the hydrogen under extremely high pressure. If you crash then you're pretty much completely fucked since the hydrogen tanks will probably burst/catch fire/explode.

I'm more of a supporter of CNG then hydrogen. Easier to get, easier to store, still get engine noise, and it won't leak through the tank walls like hydrogen. But same explosion risk.
