Drove my brz today, got a ticket.
I was polite and respectful to the statey as I am to everyone.
He was polite and respectful to me as well. (As much as he could be to someone who was tearing up his town)
Instead of arresting me, he gave me a ticket for as low as he possibly could, 45 in a 35.
Glad I still have my license.

I once went 100-ish in a 70 and got a ticket for an expired tag I'd forgotten to put on. I saw the CHP before he saw me, and I pulled over about 200 feet past where he was parked.

Come to think of it, I may have been parked before he even pulled onto the road.

Lost my license back in 2011.. 143 mph in a 60.. may have been a 55.

99 BMW m3, dr vanos rebuild, sunbelt Cams, recaro seat 245 falkens, wildwood brake kit, and shorter final drive. Was trying to keep up with two stage 3 subarus (rotated turbo's) on a Saturday morning to go work out with them ( one airforce, one civillain, I was navy)

Sleeping cop on an exit opposite side of traffic called us in ( two subarus and an m3 easy to spot) and when we pulled over to work out ( we where running along the coast in Charleston) cops where waiting for us when we got back. only reason they didn't get us for street racing is we all said the same thing, we where all friends, and like we didn't continue it. it was just a burst across the Ravenell bridge. Court date happened and we all got slapped with 8 pts on our records. excessive speeding and reckless endangerment ( could have been WAY worse) but at the time I was under 21 and Illinios had special rules for young drivers and bad driving history and they put a hold on my license.



that has been my last ticket for a few reasons.
- not being able to drive for a year sucked.
- been deployed so dang much
- I have slow cars now (really there's no reason to speed)
- Its hard to really get a speeding ticket in Cali...(without a loud exhaust)

@ScoobsMcGee on my way home from work yesterday, I drove past a guy driving a Blue BRZ. I doubt it was you, but it was my first thought since we had literally talked about passing each other a couple hours beforehand lol.

He gave me a nod, I shot him some finger guns, and then we went our separate ways.

GF is going to see Les Miserable'(sp) tonight with some of her broads. do I

a) go to a breast-o-raunt for dinner then go home and play with my Oculus all night or

b) grab something on the way home, take a Unisom at 8pm and see how late I can sleep Saturday?

I haven't been sleeping well at all lately(wake up at like 1-3am and stay up) so the appeal of getting a really good night's sleep is strong.

My FR-S is my only non-two-wheeled transportation and motorcycles in this weather are... less than ideal lol. So, snow tires and a lot of parking lot practice to get used to RWD low-traction driving are my winter solution.

Personally I'd got with a modified A as I would pick up carry-out. Going to a breast-o-raunt by myself enters into the creepy old guy zone for me. Or maybe I'd go to the polar opposite and stop at Waffle House on my way home.

What do you play on the Oculus? I'm thinking of getting one but not sure what I'd use it for, except maybe some flight sim stuff.

I would do a A, but I use times like that to go to a restaurant I like, or that expensive new one. My wife doesn't like sushi, so I would Uber to the sushi bar and back and have a ball.

I prefer the Vive over Oculus, but here are a couple fun VR games in no particular order:

Superhot VR
Space Pirate Trainer
Beat Saber
The Lab (especially the archery game)
Job Simulator
Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes (requires at least 1 other person, 2+ for best experience, only 1 person is in VR though)

I used to live behind a Tilted Kilt and went to it quite often as a result. that one closed and I moved in with the GF many years later. it just so happens that almost right in front of our place now is another Tilted Kilt and some of the same girls work there now. which has it's pros and cons. I know a few from before so we've got rapport. luckily for me none of them is my ex.

on the Oculus I still play Robo Recall. it's really the reason I bought it. I also really like Beat Saber but I've got to be in the mood for it because it's pretty intense. Blade and Sorcery is awesome but that's about it. I don't really have much time for it.

we have a sushi place near by that we really like. the owners/staff are really cool and know us by name but we went Monday so that's out for me. we eat out quite a bit and she likes going to the "nice places" so i get plenty of that. at this moment I'm not craving anything. hopefully that changes so it'll make my decision easier. maybe I'll see something on my way back from dropping her off that will strike my fancy.

I could sit and watch a computer, listen to mandatory conference calls that have nothing to do with me, approve designs and budgets and every once in a while get to actually do something when the building catch's fire or some other major disaster occurs?
