Valve springs don't care about intake manifold pressure.

I'm too lazy to get into the details of my argument but the recently-cited five-thousand-mile failure window falls right in line with my expectations. Unless Subaru decides to shut the window on the recall some time in the future, I plan on kicking back and watching how the drama plays out.
