Actually it is pretty much the same as what the US celebrates just earlier. We even stick with the whole "pilgrim" theme.
I always find that name odd since they were not on a pilgrimage at all but were escaping persecution from the Church of England and the Crown so actually they were refugees.
Technically since they were very British and the US would not exist for a couple of hundred years they were more Canadian than Americian anyway.

Do you guys really prefer to be called Canadian or North American?

Oh! That makes perfect sense. The U.S. co-opts everything.

Canadian. At least they went to the trouble of actually naming the country instead of just rolling with the description.

Yep, drove Pinehurst and Redwood down and back! I swear those roads are getting bumpier with each passing year.

Heh, I doubt it was pulled from a dumpster. They all look very clean and most aren't ripe yet. I'll let you know if I get the green apple splatters from them though!

Goddamn lucky SOB is basically fine.

Full story:
Scaffolding gave way on a very sloped roof (not sure how that's actually measured) and he slid down from that and then fell onto the deck along with roofing nails and all his tools. Got a concussion, and had 5 fractures in various vertebrae. No nerve damage and should make a full recovery. Other than pain and roof-rash, only effect is that hes not allowed to lift more that 10lb and should avoid bending over.

He also discovered he's broken vertebrae before and healed from the X-ray/MRI.

Oh, and we found the drill-driver bit that got pounded into a boad in the deck when he fell.

Yep, the older you get, the bumpier the roads get -

So, have you started your new job? If so, how do you like it?

Ya, well, I understand they stole the name from the Huron-Iroquois Indians.
