I have to report in for jury duty today. This county's system is horrible. I had to check their website Sunday, which said to check Monday morning, and then it said to check Monday after 5PM, and then last night it said I had to come and report at 1pm today.

Back where I used to live with my family, you only have to call Sunday night and then it tells you if you're unneeded/excused for the entirety of the jury schedule.

Such a pain :\

Well, mrs humfrz's (the school bus) threw me a CEL this morning.

Should I go out and read it?

Or, kick back in my recliner for a mid morning snooze - it hopes it will go away?

Depends on how stressful it was seeing the light come on. I'd rest up first, then go onto the school bus forum and ask people what to do. Maybe post up a picture of the light.

At least you don't have to show up every morning for a week at 8, sit around to wait for your number to be called, be sent home at 4:30 having done nothing, and get compensated $8 per day for your trouble, because computers and efficiency are too hard for the government to figure out.

CEL update.

It was not flashing.

I kicked back in my recliner, but couldn't doze off - I was too worried.

So, I went out and read the CEL, it read as a p0300 (random misfire).

After checking the bus forum, I was totally confused.

The responses were all over the place:

What mods have I done?

Have I installed a light weight pully?

Post a video

have it towed to the dealer

part it out

totaled

sell it quick

don't worry about it

don't drive it, it could freeze up the engine, negating the power steering and brakes, causing an accident and endanger my granddaughters.

So, I figure if the misfire was random, it's moving around and not damaging any one part that much.

However, I do think I will take it up to Bubba and let him rap on the ECU with his BFH - see if that works.

Suddenly very glad that I've never been called for jury duty... and I just jinxed it.
