Maybe its a good thing that I don't own a manual tranny car.

Maybe because I'm not a big fan of anything superhero culture (last movie I watched was Ironman 3), but I liked it. Granted, it did seem to take a weird turn after-

I ended up going tonight to avoid a bunch of woman drama (which I failed at avoiding in the end). Im not much of a comic book guy but just from a cinematic standpoint it fails

Well, I guess it depends on how hard you drive. If you're a racecar driver and you rebuild your motor every week anyway then yeah by all means save your brakes. However, you are using the vacuum of the restricted flow to the intake stroke to put power on the opposite side of the gears than you do when accelerating. Plus you're running at higher rpms. Now that is pretty minor (assuming you are double-clutching properly and yada yada) wear and tear but one extra set of brakes, even rotors to me is minor insurance payment. So unless I'm driving hard I just use my brakes for what they were made for.

Like i said, if you are dead fan of DC Universe you will enjoy the movie like me. I like it all reference they used of Frank Millers comics, like Year One and Return of the Dark Knight part 2. Not fan, good luck keep it up.

I'm a DC guy, and I hate everything they've done to Supes and Batman.

Also, Lex Luthor's motivations make zero sense in this movie and Batman is the world's worst detective.

Funny you should mention that; as I mentally review my process when downshifting I tend to do exactly that: clutch in, coast in neutral for a bit with the clutch out, clutch in again, downshift, clutch out. I've done it for years without thinking about it. If I have to stop very quickly, I use the brakes!

When I was learning to drive the semi-trailers and other big rigs in western Norway, one of the most important lessons was that if you roll a 50 ton rig over the apex of a long downslope in too high gear, you'll burn out your brakes and your last responsibility is to die without taking anyone else with you.
Sounds dramatic, but we have had accidents that will be remembered. Such as the bus full of children in Måbødalen valley. Driver error, 16 casualties.
It's no joke.

The downslopes are so steep and long that they will burn the brakes off any car driven all the way down in high gear constantly using brakes. Doing so is regarded as negligent and stupid. If you survive it you may lose your license and pay fines.

TL/DR: In Norway, engine braking is mandatory and not doing it is lethal.

Either they left too much out detail wise then or the comics have a bad story (which I dont believe would be true.) And some of those fight scenes were terrible. You see the actors just moving around by themselves for no reason waiting for their turn. Terribly done imo

and *minor spoilers*

I agree @jawn. Also to me one of th biggest issues was the whole Martha thing. Maybe that's true to the comics idk but if it was just such a anticlimatic moment in what should have kept building towards the films real climax. Definitely thought there should have been more to it

Is the ST softer than stock? Typically a stiffer rear swaybar brings oversteer, and a stiffer front is more under steer... All things being equal and glossing over details... I'd not be surprised if you simply felt more confident and overdrove (front sway can definitely improve confidence.) Weird.
