Now, THAT brings to mind a back-in-the-day story.

It was a crisp fall day in 1972 and four of us headed out of the corporate HQ in Westport, CT, in a limo, headed to the airport, to hop on one of our company planes (a King Air) to go to New Orleans.

The group consisted of the national sales manager, the director of marketing, another product manager and myself (all of which were "old guys", except me.)

When were in the terminal I was introduced to this young, rather attractive, woman by Chuck (our regular pilot). She was going to be the co-pilot for this flight. Now, the old coots didn't know she was the co-pilot.

She was assisting us getting boarded and just before we took off, one of the old coots, thought she was a hostess and ask her to mix him a drink. She explained that liquor cabinet was between the seats on one side and snacks were on the other side.

However, old Bert, insisted she make him his drink. She politely said that she would love to do that but that she was going to be busy helping fly the plane ....... as she eased into the co-pilots seat with a smile on her face.

Old coots !!.......

I'm the Captain, (in the turboprops just SIC in the jet) and I will pour my passengers a drink if they ask. Assuming we have time, and not after we start moving. That is a great story though.
