Glad to hear.

Did you give her a bell to summon you?

Unless you were having wild, unbridled sex with a strange woman, there is no reason to stay up till 4 AM .......

Well, I wish your wife a speedy recovery.

The subject reminds me of a back in the corporate headquarters day story.

A good friend and fellow co-worker were brought "out of the field" to serve a tour of duty as product managers in our new corporate headquarters in Westport, CT.

One day we were summoned to attend a luncheon meeting in one of the corporate private dining rooms in the executive wing.

We arrived early and seated ourselves at the table. we noticed this small, strange looking object sitting in the middle of the table, so I picked it up to examine it. Right then a girl appeared and asked what we would like. We said we were OK, so she left.

Then my buddy picked up the strange object to try to figure out what it was. The girl appeared again and asked what we would like.

I said we were OK and we would call her if we needed something. She said, you have already called twice. Daaaa ....... now we figured out what the strange object did.

The moral of the story is don't leave old farm boys, unattended in unfamiliar surrounds ......

THE END

Haha thanks. It was a replacement of ACL, so nothing major or anything... plus she’s still young (23), so she’ll recover fast.

Well, back when you were “young”... which was end of 1800’s right? It’s not rare back then, but it’s rare to see it now. lol in my life, I’ve seen the bell to call maid/butler once.

Is (was) your wife athletic and that caused her injury ..??

Gad ..... I ain't THAT old .......

Back on the farm, this is the only dinner bell I remember. Yep, when that sucker went off, and you couldn't hear it because the tractor you were on had a piece of water pipe for a muffler ....... you had better notice your siblings running for the farmhouse.

Why? Because if you were late, the only parts of the fried chicken that would be left would be the gizzard, the back and the neck ......
