Nothing else worth it in the price range that interests me even a little. If I already had a trailer, I *might* have had to go give the Miata a test, but that really doesn't work for road-trips, so unlikely.

Plus this way I don't also lose even more money having to unload the 4 sets of wheels/tires (2 for racing, summer driving, winter driving), the suspension (rather fancy coilovers, swaybars, lca), etc. I can't use everything I had, but most of it. A couple things came on the car I did not expect so will sell those.
Keep thinking about the WRX. Just would fit my life a bit better at this point. The FRS is fun and everything, but a coupe just isn't working well for me. If I didn't also have a truck, I'd be boned.

More realistically though, a Corolla IM would be a fantastic fit for me.

I've had both my eyes done. I got cataracts really early. I didn't even wear glasses...I don't recall any pain.

You just have to be vigilant about not overdoing it afterwards, and the drops. OMG all those eye drops!

You could probably pay Bubba a fiver and a beer to make one up for you.

Which cable is this? This thread expands far too fast for me to find where you originally brought it up. I need to know so next time I think I might start looking at Porsches, I can say to myself, "...but a ___ cable is stupid expensive. What does it cost to fix something complicated?" Then realizing why I like the FRS so much.

The older (classic) Porsches have a clutch cable. I think they switched to hydraulic about 1984.

Bubba don't know nothin bout porches.
