I need to have a clean (or mostly clean) record in order for me to move up to a position I've been eyeing at another company.

Works out kind of well, since I have a bit of a rapport with the guy I'd be replacing. He's looking to retire in that time frame and let me know he'd put in a good word for me.
Are you talking about a clean driving record ... ??

Almost sounds like you're talking about a criminal record ......

Yep, either going back to school or advancement (even with another company) would be good at your age .......

Oh, yes, hand tremors (you're a bit young for that .....).

I get the shaky hands quite often ....... however, I've found an upside to it.

When mrs humfrz makes me put my finger in a bowl of water and ask me if I've been flirting with the pretty, young, mothers at the granddaughters school pick up place, I can claim it's just my tremors ...... and not that I'm lying.

Yes, driving record. Not sure what is allowable for some of these companies, but I'd rather have no tickets, or a maximum of one, on my record.

Yeah, I think I got it from my grandfather since he has bad tremors as well. But apparently that condition can be present in younger people and I've had it for probably at least 10 years (young teens-ish).

Haha, might as well use it to your advantage

Our insurance company will randomly pull abstracts on employees who drive company vehicles. Once and a while we will get a call from out Broker and inform us that "Bob" can't drive until his record get cleaned up. I believe it's around the 5 points area, or if you do something stupid, obviously.

I got a speeding ticket on the highway that cost me three points. I was very careful for the next two years and am back to squeaky clean! Keep in mind, that when the insurance company is stalking you they go back 3

I wonder if that's the standard operating procedure for most places. I think I have 2 points, but that's coming off in August.

I would think so or it would be very similar.

They are getting more and more stringent as time goes on.

It should say how long your company goes back someplace in the fine print of your policy. When you get your renewal documents you should get a copy of the policy itself. As boring as the leagalize can be you should read through the whole thing since that is what you are agreeing to the second you sign.

And 9 times out of 10 when they show up they stand staring at the junction box for 15 minutes and then say "hmmmm not sure what is up I will have to call in for help". The last time we had one here I had to show him how to open the main box outside my house.
