You're right, its changing. However the overwhelming scientific consensus, and this includes peer-reviewed data and repeated tests that have given the same results, have shown that human activity is the largest single contributor.

I also think you misunderstand what "discredit" means. If there was indeed a group of scientists that said that LA would be underwater by 2000, first I would like to see your source, and then I would like to see the scientists who said so. They might actually *gasp* have changed their minds after reviewing data. Changing your mind does not discredit a scientist, in fact it only affirms their credentials. A true scientist is willing to concede their point and stand behind solid research. Now if the "scientist" still held that belief when the vast majority of research doesnt fit their view--well, then they are discredited, in my opinion. At that point is more about their ego (and sometimes money, they are only human) than the facts. I myself until about a decade ago questioned human-caused climate change, but I now accept it after seeing the professional scientific community prove that it is due to our actions.

First off, reason. com is a heavily right-leaning news site, so their bias is very real. Secondly, if you read the article, its not a complete journalistic publication. It uses numerous quotes from Bates while only giving a short paragraph to the opposing viewpoint--screaming bias again.

You're also basing your opinion on trust on one instance where the data may have been massaged (your article even cites a study done by another group that confirmed the suspected study's numbers were correct). It is, by no means, overwhelming.

So, go ahead and question the science--that's healthy. But to say you don't trust scientists, who are educated to observe, experiment, verify, and report according to the Scientific Method, is foolhardy. To paraphrase Neil Degrasse-Tyson, "Science does not require you to believe in it. It still exists."

Then pick a different website. That's the first one I clicked on. But were plenty more. I don't doubt their abilities. I doubt their intentions.

Wait until you get that gtx1080 (or the AMD equivalent). Running games on the highest settings possible and not getting any screen tear, input lag, etc. is awesome! You know that mountain map we played on? I can see people halfway across the map trying to snipe. I then pick people off and they think I'm cheating...

Thinking about the Radeon RX480, since my monitor has FreeSync. That'll probably be my next upgrade, unless the FX9590 CPU comes down drastically in price after the new Ryzen CPUs are released

I just drove home and as I pulled into the garage it immediately started pouring. It also hailed which screwed up some crap and pikachu is super effective against water types.
