I'm basically unemployed. The slightest inconvenience makes me whine.

Edit: how I spend my days, just normally with food in front of me. And video games instead of the office. When something messes up my schedule, I get cranky as hell.

No rush. I am weeks away from starting it. I have to finish two commissions now. Still fighting with that damned M88 kit and now have a 1/32 Mosquito to do for a 97th birthday in a couple of weeks. The Mosquito is a bit time sensitive for obvious reasons.

How to not get someone to spend $45k going to your school

Call them non-stop aftr asking for info online. Ask for an email to set an appointment, but they never send the email. Call again, get the email this time and set an appointment so you can finally talk to them so they stop but the person STILL keeps calling every other day.

What the hell is the point of an appointment then?

Just to end up hearing "We currently have no spaces available for that course. It will be offered again in a year or two".

At the age of 35 and well into my health and safety career I decided that I should actually get some sort of education beyond the grade 11 I had. The college certificate program I signed up for was 12 courses fast tracked at 3 hours 2 nights a week each for 6 weeks. Over the course of a year I got through 9 of them but they cancelled the tenth. Since the tenth was a prerequisite for the other two I was stuck. I has to wait for two years for it to be offered again so I could get my cert. After the first year of waiting I got a call from the college asking if I wanted to instruct a couple of the certificate courses (Occupational Health and Safety Law and Occupational Health and Safety Basics). I agreed and did it for three years (easiest money I ever made).
Now the fun part of the story! The second year after I started instructing, the course I needed opened up so I jumped on it. Most of the class consisted of people that were also taking the two classes that I was instructing. I was very popular when it came to the group projects and could pick and choose who I wanted as partners.
