Oh, certainly. I do that at the start of the summer and the end of the summer. Clay, polish, seal, wax.

I'll lay down wax about once a month in between crazy 6 hour details.

Just finished doing the spring paint prep and polish on Baby:

1. Wash it.
2. Strip off the old wax and sealant using Griot's Paint Prep. (This is key, IMO, even if you're planning to use clay. Super clean surface right from the start.)
3. Clay the finish using Pinnacle (that stuff works great and doesn't scratch at all)
Using a Porter Cable DA random polisher:
4. Polish using (a) Meguiar's Swirl remover followed by (b) Megiuar's Ultimate Polish
5. Apply Meguiar's poly sealant (this stuff is incredible, btw)
6. Apply Pinnacle 100% carnauba wax. This stuff has a great coconut smell!
7. Polish wax using another, inexpensive random orbital polisher in alternation with the Porter Cable. Apply with the PC, polish with the other one. That saves time and the cheapie still does a really nice job of polishing the wax.

This will last until next fall, with only an occasional reapplication of the wax needed. BTW, the Pinnacle carnauba is fantastic, but costs a fortune. Still, the smell alone might be worth the money...
