This all won't be done until maybe next spring though.. First priority is tires. With 23k miles of DD, auto-x, track, and fun driving clocked, stockers are reaching end of life. They played a tiny role in why I went off road, though it mostly was my fault :P
If you want to be serious about your AutoX, 4-2-1 all the way (that means Ace or Nameless)... Also better for track use than a UEL. And more expensive. Nothing wrong with a bit less power everywhere and putting the extra money into suspension, which is importamt. Just don't actually do a final drive swap...

Yeah, have no interest in doing FD swap.. I very much enjoy the longer gearing of the auto... cuz MPG!

Got bored and started reading about the ace and gruppe-s headers. Price for the ace is 2-3x of gruppe. Still casual about autox, but if I can get back on a more normal schedule (m-f days) before next season starts, I will most certainly take it more seriously. Getting tired of showing up to events with only 4-5 hours of broken naps.

If I remember correctly the difference in power between the uel and el headers is only like 10hp. Obviously every little bit helps BUT it isn't the difference between a 50 second run and a 48 second run. I'd expect more like a couple tenths tops. Power doesn't get you that much benefit in autox. I'd pick the uel over el every time because sounding better all the time is better than a tenth on my time 6 times a year. That's my opinion. You can always sell your headers if you change your mind and you won't be out much. I think delicious might even use the same tune for el and uel. Zach didn't ask what kind of header I got , just made a new tune so I strenuously doubt there is much benefit between the two types

Anyone notice Captain Planet is rockin a flat top and a mullet at the same time?

I had a Tomei UEL, an invidia DP to a straight 3" pipe, but a prosport muffle on there and despite +40 ft/lbs of TQ it was barely loader than stock! It's all about the muffler for noise control. My stealth was import on my murdered out WRX.

Magnaflow axle back. Drones if you stay at 3000 RPM 6th gear (70MPH and its illegal speed for me).
Loud af on cold starts, for me its tame compared with N1. I could say par with Q300, mind you im running JDL catless UEL header and still running stock FP.

So I am really enjoying the turbo. I am used to how fast it is now and have relearned how to drive it. You forget how much power it makes until you need to pass someone or give it a little to much gas off the line. I really love the low end power honestly makes driving so much more enjoyable.

Of course this is anecdotal evidence but....been back on pump gas for a week and a half and the crickets are already back in full force. Maybe if I just spray some e85 in the engine bay it will kill them
