Isn't that how it's supposed to be done anyways? Surely the pros aren't using hard ass all seasons or sobering right? Anyways, I just read that in done article once that they were trying to drift it and just couldn't get it to stay sliding. I don't remember who "they"were but I've never seen an s2k formula D car either

Wait, I don't remember this in stage 4. Was this battle stage?
The scene, not the battle. Last edited by Phijkchu; 08-27-2016 at 04:21 PM. Reason: Clarity |

Oh, I had to look that up ...... Initial D cartoons ......
![]() Welp, maybe so, back in the day, at age 15, me and 3 of my buddies, took off one Saturday night, in my 1948 Chevrolet, with the objective of "raiding" a boys/girls camp in the neighboring hills of Ohio. We parked in this long driveway out in the country (first mistake) and moved up this wooded hill and infiltrated the camp. Yep, after tiring of watching the girls take showers ....... we decided to torment the city slicker counselors. TWhen they wised up that we were not the boogie men, they chased us down the hill. Yep, we could run fast and got to my car, started that puppy up, and turned around in the camps entrance (second mistake). All at once we were confronted by a pickup full of pissed off counselors, who immediately surrounded us. They were beating on the window when one of my buddies, riding shotgun, rolled down the window and punched a counselor in the face (third mistake). Since there were about 8 of them and 4 of us, I decided we would retreat. I slapped my machine in reverse, we did a "Fresno turn" and took off down the road. Yep, they were in hot pursuit in a newer and faster vehicle. When I discovered I wasn't going to be able to out run them, I cut down this narrow gravel road, that I knew very well, Coming into the first turn, I cut off my headlights ........ sure enough they missed the curve and wound up stuck in a corn field. The rest of the story - about a week later, I got off the school bus and the sheriff and a highway patrolman was in the barnyard to arrest my father (since the car was registered and licensed) in his name. He explained his way out of it and the sheriff made that camp off limits to me and my buddies. Needless to say, I "lost" the keys to "my" car for a month...... ![]() humfrz |

The stability system is still processing input from all the sensors. It'll let you wipe out but it still tries to keep you from doing it by dumbing down the throttle response. Nobody but the developers knows exactly what it's doing but many people including me have spent quite a bit of time d!cking around with it.
They so much as admitted it by claiming the 5-second push now fully disables the nannies on the 17.

My dad was Bunta. He wasn't a badass driver but he did give me one of his old beetles to zoom around on the farmland/airstrip when I was 9. He and my mom got into it big time but it was too late because he had already given it to me without telling her.

I remember back when I was about 5 years old, my mom got really upset once with my father, for putting me up on a steel wheeled tractor pulling a disk in a field where he was running the corn planter. She came running from the barnyard yelling, so I punched the black button (the ignition kill switch) (which was the only control I could reach). Note: My father would set the gas, put it in gear, let out the clutch .... and then jump off. I was to go around in the field, overlapping on each pass. Anyway, my mom was upset that her "baby" was driving a tractor by himself. My father calmly explained that either she or I was going to have to drive the tractor. She went back to the house to tend to her other babies. humfrz |
