Found a killer deal on a used AP Racing Sprint kit so I recently snagged that kit, which is shown below! She needs a bit of TLC but I'll have it cleaned up and ready to go on in a few weeks. This is in preparation for some track days I plan to attend during winter here in Arizona.

Thanks,
Eric

Nice! Let me know if you need an extra set of hands for the install.

Friday we received some first articles of some exciting new products. Here's a teaser of the finish, which looks really great in person.

Then last night I finally strapped it on a local dyno to get some numbers from the street tuning.

We stopped at 13.5 PSI on E80, I'll have a dyno to post shortly.

Thanks,
Eric

Alright, here's the dyno plot from Saturday.

Dyno with boost plot. 13.5-14PSI on E80.

Yes, that is 14 PSI by 3500 RPM in 4th gear! This turbo is capable of 550whp! This type of spool is amazing! What can't be seen on a dyno is the transient response of the turbo which is unparalleled in my experience.

Same run with a clearer comparison against OEM pull

The dyno is a Maha dyno, which is not a very common dyno; however, it is high end. It's similar to mustang dynos. We used the dyno at Goodspeed, great Subaru installed/builder all around by the way!

For more information: http://www.goodspeedperformance.com/dyno.php

The shop BRZ no longer suffers from pink rear spats! Those pink eye sores have been on there for far too long, though they started plenty of good conversation .

I'm really happy with how these came out. We'll work on releasing them shortly.

And a hint at what else is to come

Thanks,
Eric

Those spats look great... and that's quite a lot of power for that little car.

awesome work on spats, will they come with a metal option if we want to match it with the rear diffuser etc?

Cannot wait to see the torque curve on your car. I'm sure it will be stellar! Your casting came out very well!

It's quite a bit more fun .

It's unlikely. A piece of sheet metal here, while inexpensive, would not look right in my opinion. The pictures really make them stand out more than they do in real life, they're quite subtle and blend in well.

So, over the weekend myself and a few Phoenix owners went out to the No Fly Zone 1/2 mile event put on by Omega Motorsports. Had some fun, didn't blow the car up, ran a 137MPH, Turbo kit did great. Can't complain! Below are some pictures.

First time doing a 1/2 mile event, it was different from what I'm used to. Very relaxed scenario and I got in 10 runs by noon.

I'll be working on a video or two shortly as well.

A few photos of the rear spats off car:

Thanks,
Eric

Got a few short videos uploaded on youtube, they are listed below.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hlnl1r1GDI"]ID1300s idling on Velox Motorsports EFR7163 BRZ - YouTube[/ame]
ID1300s at idle. They are like 4 little hammers.

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUw6DaA8V0w"]Full Race 7163 idle on Velox Motorsports BRZ - YouTube[/ame]
Short walk around the car at idle before the 1/2 mile event

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZQGe-XvfL0"]7163 Full Race Turbo Kit Pulls at 13.5psi - YouTube[/ame]
Few pulls on E75 @ 13.5PSI before I'm forced to go back to E50. Arizona passed a law that reduced E85 gas stations to E50.

More videos to come as I work through the 1/2 mile event footage.

Thanks,
Eric

May have to hit that one up too to hang out with you! I have no doubt you'd take me though . I really enjoyed the relaxed nature of the whole event.

Going through some of the data logs I took during the 1/2 mile event and the intake air temps are doing great! This charge air cooler is performing very well given ambient *air* temp was 97 deg. F (36 deg. C). That temperature reading is at 130+MPH after 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and going into 6th gear at 13.5 PSI.

Purchased STI motor mounts from FT-86 SpeedFactory for a bit stiffer engine mounting while hopefully not becoming terribly harsh. I get a hint of clutch chatter from time to time and can feel the engine rocking back and forth pretty bad.

Tore apart another transmission over the weekend. Another 1st gear tooth break ultimately leading to a failure when 4th gear begins to slide down those teeth. I personally believe this is being caused by too much power being applied while in 4th gear.

We finished up Perrin Performance's CFD analysis on their BRZ gurney flap. Below are a few photos. You can read more about the performance on our blog or from Perrin's website.

Thanks,
Eric
