I don't think I will ever remove the Scion and FRS badges.

Apparently, at some point, I voted "I have already switched and don't regret it"

That must have been when I was very close to buying a set of badges months ago. I never did buy the badges and no longer care enough to buy them in the future... haha

So does that mean you did dont regret it cuz youve never done it?

Kept the scion badge on the steering wheel and radio and floor mats. Exterior wise I've rebadged it.

Rebadged the exterior, was planning on doing the wheel until I found out the only good option was to replace the entire airbag and that is way too expensive for a rebadge. I was hoping it was as simple as replacing the airbag cover....
I did buff out the scion logo on the stock head unit though.

I think the Scion will be a lot like the Plymouth Laser was with the first gen DSM cars. Not a lick of real difference between it and its Talon/Eclipse counterparts, but the most damning difference for the car was the fact that it said "Laser" on it....well, and maybe the fact that they all seemed to be Kermit green with a hot pink trim stripe!

Big DSM fan here.

Respectfully have to disagree here as the Plymouth Laser was considered to be the least attractive of the DSM triplets, where the FR-S is considered to be either the most or second most attractive of the now 86/BRZ/FR-S triplets. I know this is all subjective but if I had to rank the cars based on attractiveness (North America).

1. 2013 FR-S (most faithful representation of the FT-86 concept)
2. 2017 BRZ (would be #1 but it still has the moustache and that grin)
3. 2013 BRZ
4. 2017 86 (I actually don't think it's horrible in person, but general consensus is that the FR-S looked more cohesive)

Ok, now let me have it.

You guys are just making me miss my 92 AWD Laser. Pic related, but not mine. I loved the Lasers only because you never saw them. The 1gb Eclipse always looked gaudy to me.

Haven't rebadged yet, but still plan to (wasn't a poll option). Keeping the originals around, but I planned to do this anyway well before Scion ever announced their impending demise. Should've come stateside as a Toyota in the first place IMO, so that's what I'm gonna do.

No plans to ever sell the car or anything, so I'm not concerned about maintaining its original state or anything like that. If I ever find a reason/need to put the original badges back on, I'll still have them around to do so.

I haven't touched the Scion or FR-S badges (in fact, I have a Scion FRS license plate frame) but I did add this to my fusebox cover

I totally agree with you, including your list. I'd personally drive a laser, as long as it wasn't that 90s green color. I really meant it as a general statement when other people see the car and immediately shoot it down because "Eww, Scion!"

Somebody at Toyota really wanted to try to breath new life into Scion so the badging wasn't a bad idea to them. It didn't work though since the whole Scion business model worked against this model from the start. Monospec and set pricing are fine for funky little utility cars like the rest of the Scion line up but people after these wanted trim levels and to be able to work with the price (even if higher to start with). I truly doubt the sales would have been significantly higher if badged as a Toyota but it may have got more exposure and bumped them up a bit. This was one of the most poorly marketed vehicles I have ever seen and much of that was due to Scion's reliance on viral advertising instead of the more conventional styles used by Toyota.
