My registration says Toyota but it also says the colour is brown

Fairly certain the registration says Lexus. Less of a rebrand, more of their own platform.

I just preferred the look of the Toyota badges, and it was a fun little project to do. However, when someone asks about the car, I say "Oh, it's a Scion FRS". I'm not the kind of guy who wants to claim "Yep, it's a 2015 Toyota GT86. No Scion BS here."

Yes. Lexus has it's own engineering, design, logistics and marketing teams and although owned and operated by Toyota is a separate mark in it's own right. They do not just rebadge Toyotas and have a 35 person marketing group that comprises the entire divisional staff like Scion did.

I say it is a Toyota 86, badged as a Scion FRS and built by Subaru. Really messes with people's heads. Especially since nobody around London has a clue what a "Scion" is in the first place.

I like the T emblem better too. But it would bug me having the rest of the scion badges still and I am not paying $$$ to replace the airbag and the emblem covers they sell look tacky imo

That looks so much better than stock on the yellow! Ties the black all together.

Tcoat the black Scion emblems would look good on a Hot Lava FR-S also.

I would agree if I had more black on the car. I actually used license plate covers to tie all the "chrome" together instead. I like chrome! Black emblems would look out of place unless I did something with the lights.

I grew up loving Toyota and feeling much brand loyalty.
After they dropped Celica, MR2, Supra. All that's left is Corolla, Cramry and an untold number of SUVs. None of which appeal to me.

As a sports car enthusiast Toyota does not really speak to me. I know they "made" the 86, but still.
My car is a Scion love it or no.
That said I do have a GT86 plate on the left of my trunk and an FRS still on the right.

Time will tell if they stick with the GT86/FRS. Mazda has stuck with the Miata/MX5 since its inception. If Toyota can stick with the GT86/FRS they will regain my respect.
