Not really, what happens is the car wash "washy strips" that come and smack the front of your car wrap around it and either mangle the bumper or the relocate.

You should always handwash your car if you care about it.

Maybe if you used a touchless car wash? I don't know, I've never used a carwash on any of my cars!

I've used touch less car washes with my plate relocator and have been fine.

So I'm still on the fence about the license plate (dealer sending em via FedEx soon). Want to do the tow hook one, but afraid about the car wash. Is there some sort of 'quick release' for the tow hook ? Was also thinking about using the mount that came with the car and repositioning it to the right as much as possible. prob look like shit though. ideas ? thanks.

I have the K&N cold air intake and I love it, the drop in is good too. As for the plate I use the tow hook plate holder and have been in car washes (when my car really needed a wash and I couldn't hand wash it myself), and it's been fine but if you don't want to chance it I wouldn't. Just hand wash it.

Someone may have already stated. Bluetooth menu only comes up if the car is in park. Can't do it in drive.

I would imagine that the license plate holder will be just fine going through a touchless/brushless car wash.

I also recommend hand washing only, but I realize you live in NJ and that can be difficult especially during the winter months when you want to get all the salt off your baby!

I have the Perrin tow hook kit, just make sure you use a quality steel license plate frame ($10 or higher) and it will be fine. Plastic license plate frames will crack and your license plate will bend.

So I got a Black limited 2016 M/T after trading my 2013 DGM M/T. And there are some nice changes, but I am have some issues/questions/problems.

The footwell lights are cool, but is there a way to turn them off.

Wanted to get a front offset license plate holder. any suggestions?

Cant seem to get bluetooth audio to work. phone works. some of the apps work, like starlink and aha.

Is it worth it to get a K&N drop in filter ?

Thanks.
Congrats on the new BRZ!

- The footwell light are an option I wasn't interested in and thus I have no experience with.

- I think that there are a few options that utilize the tow hook location.

- Bluetooth audio issues are a common problem with the new head unit and its across platforms i.e. WRX/FXT/STi/Outback etc... Take it to the dealership and raise hell.

- The K&N is a cheap affordable mod. Just keep in mind that it reducing the amount of filtration to increase air flow. The OEM filters are awesome and the 1-2 hp gain is so negligible I personally don't see the point.

Again Congrats on your second TWIN...

Oh, I do care, I do! But the "wheel blaster" and "undercarriage wash" in a touchless car wash is is so much better at getting rid of winter road salt than I could ever do with my garden hose! And WTF are "washy strips"? I have not seen a car wash specializing in slapping felt paint removal for at least 20 years. Think of the water jet system as cheap rust insurance. It works and it won't cost you your front license plate.

Why trade your 13 for a 16? The difference is easily solved with after market parts and thousands cheaper.
