I'm a little OCD about people touching and even sitting in my vehicles, so for you to have a minty fresh option still in pre-PDI plastic sounds like a dream come true to me.

I got my 2016 BRZ with 9 miles on it and chose it over others in the area that were priced a couple hundred less but had 24 miles and 31 miles. The rational part of my brain knows there is a 99.9% chance that nothing bad could have happened over those short miles, but when I find hairs on the headliner that aren't mine it just bothers me. (I realize the majority of other people out there wouldn't even bother to look at the headliner.)

You're definitely singing my song. Most people would probably think we're nuts, but I totally get what you're saying. I'd hope that someone test driving one of these cars would keep it under 4 grand since the engine isn't broken in and it isn't their car (yet) anyway. But I know about the joyriding crowd and 2 out of the 3 dealers I went to offered to let me take the car out solo. I have to imagine some people may take advantage and go flat out. I guess the fact that we're on a forum about the car we drive shows that we are at least a little OCD/care a little more than the average bear about our transportation.

I was planning on doing the deal today, but a work thing pushed it till tomorrow. Really was looking forward to taking her home tonight, but it'll be nice to start off our relationship with a weekend.

This might have been mentioned but one option is you can order a brand new BRZ from Heuberger Motors in Colorado (month or two wait), or you can choose from their inventory. They have an awesome reputation here on this forum and many members have bought from them, which lead myself to do the same when deciding to purchase a new BRZ.

I ordered one, with what I wanted as far as options, and they gave me a hell of a price for a Limited that I could not believe. To give you an idea, the MSRP of a Premium model is what I am getting my Limited for + or -. The only extra is the shipping cost which can vary from a couple hundred to 1K depending on where you live.

I also read that you're trading in your current car so that might put this option off the table. But I figure I would put this out there. Heuberger Motors currently has a few DGM BRZs in stock, as well as few other colors such as WRB and CWP.

Good luck with your purchase, the prices from the dealers you have visited are right around the ball park of Heuberger Motors once you factor in shipping if you buy from them.

I bought my STi from Heuberger and had a great experience and got a great price. So naturally I started with them on the BRZ, but after adding in their $450 dealer fee, plus the $800 in shipping, it was actually slightly more for the BRZ from them. If I lived in Denver though I wouldn't shop anywhere else.

I want to say thanks again to everyone for their input on the purchase! I brought my new friend home today and she looks and drives like a dream. I figured a good 10th post would be a picture, but I can't figure out how to embed one...

Sorry for the noob question, but do you have to upload to imgur first then link here?
