I don't want a drop. I dont track my car. Any benefit from coilovers for me?

At least I'm being honest about not having any actual technical need for coilovers or higher power. But jeez, seems like I shoulda just acted like I auto-x so I could get real responses about suspension options.

Don't go 9.5 most ppl can't see it anyway. + 9.5 really don't fit the front O.o if you just want look.... do staggered wheel... O.o like 8.5 front 9.5 rear with lowering spring... you said you don't track anyway.

But then again u said you don't wanna lower the car? Those wheel will look ridiculous without lowering.

The 9.5" is noticable with 57c6 wheels since the design gets concave at 9.5". But yea, if I go with any other wheel, I'd prob just got 8.5-9" all around.

Well I just dont want the body of my car any lower than it already is. So if it looks weird going to 18"s without a drop, then I would drop the same amount that the 18"s raised my car I guess? Not sure if that makes sense.

With correctly sized tires, the 18s are going to raise your car much, if at all. I haven't looked at diameters recently, but it should be pretty close.

More importantly, 18x9.5 +40 wheels will extend past your fenders at stock ride height.

I think they're a good DD + lowering setup with potential to be competent in performance oriented tasks. But OP doesn't want lower and they're not more comfortable than stock AND they don't have narrower springs so they don't help the clearance issue, so not really applicable to the thread. They get left out of most conversations around here because there isn't a vendor pushing them, they don't have XX way adjustable that a bunch of others have in the same price range, and again don't help clearance. They also don't go super low so the niche that actually wants them is small, the people who would like them I think is larger but, again, not marketed well.

Armchair quarterbacking? Make that claim after you own a set of the Teins please. I drive in CT, and occasionally NY roads (don't make it into the city much anymore). I *currently have* Tein Street Flex, predecessor to the Flex Z/A, has slightly higher spring rates than the Z. They're somewhat firmer than stock, but more comfortable over bumps. I'd chalk this up to better dampers. Just because you 'hear' some bad reviews doesn't mean we're armchair quarterbacking...

"armchair quarterbacking" was in reference to my statements about mixed reviews and the echo chamber of positivity on this forum because I have no first hand experience, not to reviews like yours.
