yup, 245/40 is the ideal size, you can go to a 255/35 if you'd like but i wouldn't suggest it.

I thought meaty meant running tires on the wider end of what is proper fit for a given rim size. So a 245 on a 7" wide wheel would apply but running a 245 on a 10" wheel would not.
