Reading through this thread I realize how lucky I am. Found one on local dealers web site in January, put $1k down. The initial ETA was 1/23, that bumped to last week in January. It’s gone from rail to truck transport, so hopefully that means it will be showing up soon. I’m interested to see what the build date shows as.

Anyone know the rough estimate for rail transport? I'm in Ohio. MySubaru said it was loaded onto a train on January 17th. Been over two weeks and still on the train.

Placed an order for a base '23 BRZ on Feb 1. My friend at the dealership is estimating 6+ months before I receive a VIN and probably a total of 8-10 months for delivery. A couple of his customers placed orders in August and haven't received any updates.

Rail can be days to weeks depending upon the schedule, cargo mix and volumes. Unlike trucks they don't just load it on and send it to the destination it can make zero to dozens of side trips and stops on the way.

It could also be like my situation where it sat at the rail hub for 2+ weeks waiting on an available truck to pick it up and take it to the dealer.

Got a text from my dealer that the car is officially out of the factory, and it'll take around 2 and a half months to get here
it's crazy to think that the car is actually real and actually exists now |

I got my VIN today. I ordered it 11/7/22. Does this mean the car is built?
Now,how do I track it down? |

Your vehicle is getting closer!
Your new BRZ is traveling by train to make it's way to you. Your Subaru will next be loaded on a truck which will be driving to your retailer. How long now? |

I inquired about ordering a BRZ in early Jan and was told ordering was suspended. My dealer called in the first week of March saying ordering just reopened and an immediate order would be delivered in May. Deal done so now we wait to see how accurate that forecast was. It'd be great to pick it up from the airport on my way home May 26.
