@btoast does the harness look like the one you got?
There is no wrong mirror. Only the wrong state of mind. I know my harness wasn't for the "standard" mirror, and I will be making a custom harness using its connectors to work with my mirror. I have been in contact with Bob from Bob's Automotive Mirrors, and he helped me figure out the pinouts. Apparently, two of the wires on my mirror can go to the side mirrors to dim them as well, if we had that capability. I will try to document my travels in this project and let you know how they turn out.

Got my parts in and installed the mirror last night.

H501SAJ010 is indeed the correct harness.

H501SAG040 was not the correct harness cover. The mirror and headliner connections are correct, but it is too long. I had to make it about 3/4" shorter to fit. Not a big deal, but there must be another part number that doesn't require modification.

Glad everything worked out for you.

H501SAJ010 is correct harness if harness in mirror has 12 pins.
I got Gentex 453 mirror from Prius and it has 10 pins , so for me that Subaru harness did not work.
Now I am looking for 10 pin connector (with 3 wires coming in)

This sounds like what I did. I bought two harnesses and spliced them together. My Gentex had 14 pins. I wired the Subaru harness' three wires into it and ran wires for the other points. Hopefully the below description will be somewhat applicable to you.

On the Subaru harness, looking at the back of the black connector where the wires go in, the first wire on the left is ignition, then the 2nd is reverse, skip one & the other wire is the ground wire.

For the wiring on the 14 pin white connector, in this picture: http://i.imgur.com/oTwxgzG.jpg?1 , the wires from left to right are (pins 1-7): Ignition (yes, the black wire is the ignition wire!!) / Ground / Reverse / Outside dimming mirror + / Outside dimming mirror - / camera video - / camera video +.

For the bottom row of wires, in this picture: http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/att...217_161557.jpg, from left to right (pins 14-8): Camera power (6 volts), camera ground, digital temperature sensor input (if your mirror even has temperature display...the 12-13's did, but I don't think the 11's had it), purple wire - unknown, yellow wire = constant hot (homelink power).

The harness part number I got and posted is the correct harness for the BRZ Homelink mirror.

I have my mirror installed and everything is working great.

I have two of the garage door openers programmed, the compass works, and it auto-dims at night.

The harness part number you will need is H501SAJ010.
Sorry nvm.
