Looking good! Amazing how much of a difference the JDM sidemarkers make, right? I'm getting my car PPF'd and ceramic coated tomorrow, so today I installed the GR86 duckbill (that I've had lying around since February lol). Looks great, really happy with it. Only good picture I have so far but I will take more when the car gets back from the shop (EDIT: Not sure why it is getting rotated, but can't seem to figure out a way to fix it...if anyone knows, please let me know!) |

What tire are you running? It looks pretty close in the rear, so I'm wondering if a wide 200TW is actually going to fit.

Was that a picture with the sun low in the sky? Looks amazing, shows a very different colour to the red.

Yea a bit, it was around 8:30 in the morning, sun at rear on the driver's side. It changes so much depending on lighting, mostly it's just really bright red, but on the extremes it can look Coral/pink and sometimes it has orange in it here in Florida.

I'm positive I've read that the two reds are the same color, that's right, right?

Yup, exact same paint code (DCK). The color match to my BRZ was perfect, even the guys at the PPF shop didn't realize it wasn't a factory part. Here are a couple more pics I snapped (please excuse the messy garage, getting ready for spring cleaning...) so you can get a better idea

Looks great! Did you do the install yourself or let someone else do it?
I watched the video on FTspeed, doesn't look difficult. I've just gotten lazy in my old age.

Did it myself, with the help of a friend! It was pretty straightforward, took us around an hour and a half and we took our time. I'd say the hardest part was removing the existing trunk piece off the BRZ, it's clipped in real solid and took a bit of force to remove. I would definitely recommend having help for that step or you risk dropping it onto the rear glass. Oh and drilling holes into my new car hurt my heart, but the end result was worth it

I must admit, as much as I'm still having a hard time liking the look of the new gen twins, the STI bits on the BRZ really give it a good touch. I love how subtle the pieces are and they seem to shape the car a little better overall IMO.

Same here on the STi bits, but the prices are pretty high for what they are. IMHO.
