Wanted to give Neal yet another great review.

When I had troubles diagnosing a whining noise coming from my engine and after speaking with and emailing Neal videos of the symptoms he took me in the following day to get a better look at the problem. Well he found that my water pump was going out within 15 minutes of inspection. He offered to fix it same day but unfortunately we couldn't get the part until the following day. If it wasn't for my 100k powertrain warranty (and this 86 being my only car) I would've left the vehicle with Neal to have the water pump replaced. I wanted to say thank you for taking me in so quick as well as being quick to respond when I have questions/issues/or concerns.

Keep up the good work brotha

Reading this actually sparked a question in my mind... for some of these extended warranties, don't they allow you to take your car to any shop for the repair and you simply get reimbursed for the cost? If that is the case (you should check the language of the policy) then taking your car to a place like The Racers Line instead of the dealership for that kind of work is a total no-brainer!

Excellent job, Neal! Thank you for helping me with my installations, this was my first time dropping by here, and I will most certainly come back for more business.

Maybe on third party warranties, but my 100k warranty was through Toyota directly so didn't have a choice. Worth looking into if you bought the car used with an extended warranty I would guess though.

I also am wondering how fun it would be to try and get reimbursed for something like this lol

I'd have to double-check my own extended warranty, but when I originally had the third party extension it was definitely up to me to take the car anywhere and then work out the reimbursement (they specifically advertised this as though it were a 'feature' of the particular warranty, in the case I'm not near any Subaru dealers.

The reason I say I need to double-check is because I winded up switching it literally two days after buying the car to the actual first-party Subaru warranty, lol, and that one might specifically only allow going to dealers.

@PMok

I believe this is only for Subaru owners. And for any BRZ owners after 2015. When i bought my BRZ they talked to me how they recently changed their warranty policy so that you could take it to any mechanic for any warranty work and as long as you supply the proper information (receipt, description, info on the shop) then you would get reimbursed.

There is one caveat to this "deal" however that ive seen. Subaru requires pretty extensive documentation of the issue and a clear explanation of cost per part + labor as well as explanation as to how the part was defective (and not broken due to mods or wear and tear). Also the issue that it comes out of your pocket first, and if they decide they dont feel that your warranty claim is valid....well you are out of money. At least those are some of the horror stories ive heard. Havnt experienced this myself.

Neal is the only other person I've ever let touch my cars. Just this year he's helped a ton with 2 supercharger installs, a motor swap and a host of other mods. His attention to detail and perfectionism are what you're looking for. He's honest and fair. I couldn't possibly recommend him more and am relieved to have him near.

Just wanted to say thank you again to everyone who came to the EOS meet at the shop! There were more cars then we expected, and the parking lot was filled. I was especially happy, that everyone respected each other, the space, and Epidemic Ales across the way. There was NO garbage left, and no one had to be talked to about being disrespectful. All in all it was a great meet, and I would be happy to host another one again soon!

Better late than never but another awesome experience from The Racers Line! (more to come in the future!) I'm just fortunate to have a mechanic, Neal, local to me that knows quality customer service and has the knowledge about this car. The guy that can get you taken cared off in his busy schedule and willing to work with what time works for you. Even the small things about this car that you need help with, you can count on Neal! I appreciate all the help and answers. Hit him up for your frs/brz/gt86 issue and you will not regret it! (I know he works on other car makes too so spread the word) Thanks again The Racers Line!

Thanks for the work today Neal!

The southbend clutch feels so much better than stock, especially with the verus clutch fork and pivot. It's nice to actually feel the clutch engage.

The IRP Shifter is awesome, really should have done this sooner. Haven't heard any rattling yet, but haven't been able to drive hard yet, but looking forward to track testing it next weekend. Hoping to get enough break in miles before then.

Been a while since I updated in here! Most of this stuff can be seen on the shop Facebook/Instagram, so if you do not currently follow either, please go ahead and like/follow.

The shop is slammed at the moment, which is odd for this time of year. I will be taking my first big vacation since starting the shop, at the beginning of January, so expect some delays in communication, and appointments.

If I don't hear from you, or see you before the new year, please have a happy and safe holiday!
