Cool Automatic Drivers

So you drive an auto FRS/BRZ... why did you choose automatic over manual and how much do you actually drive the car in auto vs manual/paddle shift. Especially if you have a loud exhaust do you still drive in auto lol??

I got an automatic brz because it's slower than the manual. Real sports cars are automatic.

1) I'm not wasting my time to teach my family manual, because inevitably the situation will arise where I can't drive the car, which has already happened on multiple occasions.

2) This auto is very fast for something with a torque converter, the shifts are instant from the second you hit a paddle.

3) I had a berk muffler dual tip muffler delete, that's one of the loudest axle-backs you can buy, because THERE IS NO MUFFLER I would leave it in manual quite a bit, but when I'm just cruising along in traffic, or if I'm just tired it's in auto mode

I enjoyed multiple test drives of both transmissions, but went with automatic as I found it to be one of the most impressive and fun sporty autos I've experienced and I also liked the greater versatility it offered as a sole car / daily driver (NJ/NYC traffic, occasional multiple drivers, etc.).

I also really enjoy the paddle shifter experience and manually shift most of the time unless I'm on long highway drives or stuck in traffic.

Currently have stock exhaust but looking to upgrade soon

EDIT: auto or manual your car is still a brz/frs not a V8 mustang so dont include speed in this

I will fully admit I'm a lazy ass driver. Also Seattle hills, them hills. Traffic also. I hate traffic.

Ever since installing the catback in September, I've been driving in manual mode. Maybe 10% of that time, I've put the car in Camry mode. Downshifts are just so.... eargasmic!
