I consider our gear boxes weak.

I think I recall that "safe" level of hp/torq is around 250. Anything past that is kind of a ticking time bomb.
I'm pretty sure most of these cases are shifting at red line with 3rd to 4th in boosted cars. At only 250 hp/tq its been enough to destroy 4th.

Input tq is only rated at 250Nm or 185lb/ft. That's of course at the flywheel which can be generated by a NA E85 FA20.
