Useful on some hills, I've found with my last car.

Basically, it can deform the brake disc if you do that. So since then, I always used just enough brake force to keep it from rolling back and have no problems.
I'm not hard on the brakes, but my leg is rigid in place. As in, that foot isn't going off the brake pedal.

On phone I am. Therefore, if mistakes I make, Frank Oz blame you should.

I had the exact same thing happen to me the other day, except it was a giant uhaul moving truck. I had no where to reverse so I laid it down on my horn. That got their attention just in time!

I'm basing my statement on the OP's video, which is on a flat surface.

But if the incline is steep enough, even an automatic will roll backwards.

Still no excuse not to be on the brakes given that you are likely to be on a downhill section just the same as well. I mean, how lazy can someone get really???

This is why they are making autonomous cars quicker than I'd like them to.

Never happened to me while driving. A similar case occurred when I was chilling with my car club. I had already parked my car and this group of random Subie people have never seen so many BRZ's and FRS's so they had to check them out. One of them happened to be this chick that rolled her WRX into my car. It slipped her mind to put the damn e-brake up. SMH
