These guys tried the solar EV, it's small, it's literaly made out of solar panels, they haven't built a single one yet, and even them are limiting expectations to about 10 miles per day: https://europe.autonews.com/automake...pite-inflation

Re the charger, I like it, but 5800lbs?! Plus, it's huuuge, and as tall as some crossovers.

^what, the Charger? And if so, so what. They're both full size sedans. Would make perfect sense.

Because as alex said, its HUGE.

I for wahtever reason thought it'd be the size of a midsizer, like a 5 series or thereabouts, even if sizewise isnt all THAT much shorter. But one looks like a behemoth next to the other.

Unless my perception of this is out of whack. I know the current one is a porker but is it 7 series big or 5 series big (just for context)?

It's forever been a full size car. Ever since 2008 (is that when the modern one came out?)

Current Charger is 201 inches long. A 7 series is 207. 6 inch difference.

I mean - the Charger may have started life as a "mid-size" on the B Body, but that's still big by modern standards. The (arguably most famous) 2nd gen was 208" long, so this new one is still smaller than the old (though longer than the 1st gen).

Certainly when it reappeared as the LX Platform based sedan it was intended to be an answer to the Panther-body Fords that had been cruising since the late seventies and which remained bigger by design.

Almost looks more like a stylized Camaro than a Dodge. Particularly the two door.
