My Timex Expedition batteries seem to have died.
Haven't put it back on since my job left town.

LCD watches are so last millennium!

In 1975 when my father retired the company he worked for gave him a gold LCD watch. It was HUGE, heavy and only showed the hours, minutes and seconds. No 24 hour function, no AM or PM, Day or Date. The worst part was it cost as much as a nice Rolex would have. The company made crystals for frequency control out of quartz. So they all thought it was neat that the only word on the face was QUARTZ. My father showed it off to everyone who came to visit but to my knowledge never wore it. He did carry a Piezo Quartz lighter everywhere he went. Even though he didn’t smoke he would whip that sucker out to demonstrate it at the drop of a hat.
