Wheel/Tire package on TireRack.com

I stumbled across a 2012 post from a member named Detainu. https://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=9349

Similarly, I'm looking at Black 18X8 +45 Enkei Raijin's with 225X45X18 Goodyear Eagle Exhilarate's. I know I want all-season, and these appear to have great ratings. I did the wheel and tire package on Tire Rack.com and the total comes out to $1,900ish.

1) Is it worth $1,900?

2) I don't have any dedicated shops near me, the best being a Firestone. Would you ship them there? Seems sketch.

Why ship to Firestone? TireRack will mount and balance the tires on the wheel for free. Just have them do that and ship it directly to where you live.

I mean, its definitely not a BAD deal, last season i bought enkeis from tire rack mounted/balanced 18x8 w uhp summer for 18-1900, so ur right on the mark.

with that said, there are about a million used sets of enkeis for sale in the classifieds section for much less, hell theres even weds in there. dont sleep on 17x9 either, i actually think 17 looks better because i like a meaty setup, big sidewall. more aggressive than having "big fancy rims"

buy a floor jack + stands + torque wrench, dont ship them to firestone

If I went 17x9 wheel, what would be the biggest tire sidewall possible on stock suspension with no issues?

245/40/17 is the go-to 17x9 tire. I've used a 255/40 for autoX as well.

Have fun with this thing as well
