I can tell if the light is off, but when I walk into a dark room relying on muscle memory to hit the light switch as I continue past only to discover the switch was up with the light off, I’m out of reach of the switch, and stumbling in the dark to find the wall and switch again.

I love the old mid-century push button switches or modern interlinked digital switches, but not enough to spend silly amounts of money on the stuff.

I have installed a fair bit of Insteon over time. They don't need a hub or wifi or anything to do their magic, though I like having a hub as an add-on. My favorite part is being able to link switches which are totally separate circuits. Better tech than the Lutron IMO. Worth it.
