So, there are a lot of guys doing engine swaps and such on this forum, as well as a few in our community.

Has anyone every thought about dropping an EZ30R into this car? I'm not doing an engine swap, but just curious. Specs for the H6, EZ30R: 2999CC DOHC, 245ps (180 kW) @6600 rpm, 297Nm@4200 rpm. Bore 89.2 mm, Stroke 80 mm. Compression 10.7:1. This version had three exhaust ports per head, a drive-by-wire throttle, a black plastic intake manifold, VVL and AVCS. It was available in manual and automatic unlike the old EZ30D. Found in the 2003–2009 Legacy 3.0R, Outback 3.0R and 2006–2007 Tribeca Engine horsepower reported as 250 hp, in Subaru of America publications in 2005. It made its debut in the 2005 USDM model year.

Engine, in the short time I spent looking, seemed to be inexpensive for swaps starting at $1000 for the motor, and $2200 for Engine/trans combos (5 spd manual)

My car seems to have developed this "popping" or "clicking" sound when in low gears and reverse. It's just some sort of clicking sound when going on and off the throttle. Anybody have any idea what this could be? I wanted to see if anyone has any experience with this before I take it to the dealer.

Take it to the dealer and ask them if the spindle nut on your axles are loose. This is a frequent issue with the car. A lot of people have gone in and the dealer tightened them and the click went away.

If it weren't for the military paying me as well as they do, I couldn't afford it either. This place is crazy expensive. I don't know how the locals afford anything.

In other news, after next weekend, my car will be wrapped the most obnoxious green color I could find:

I would love to see an FRS/BRZ in this color (minus the racing stripes of course)...someone should make that happen. FYI, its Avery vinyl Grass Green.

I wish Tapatalk didn't force me to upload such crap quality photos from my phone, but I redded out my rear foglight (fourth brake light, I guess).

Finally got my full exhaust installed and had @nelsmar get me tuned up over at Goodspeed!

JDL UEL header, overripe, catted front pipe. Sounds great, but it's loud as balls. Probably going to swap out the magnaflow catback with a Q300. It won't quiet it much, but I ran a Q300 on my STi and it sounded great with the boxer rumble.

Unfortunately, on the way home something blew a rear tire. It was either the RAW POWA, or whatever this is:

So it anybody has a stock tire they are willing to part with, I'd buy it tonight!

benlaz88 to the rescue with a tire/wheel hookup.

Also, I neglected to mention just how great the crew at @GoodSpeed was. Good experience all around for somebody who's never taken his car to a performance shop before. Would recommend.
