i didnt see anyone else post this but you're missing some of the details from this. this is not a judge prescribing anything over the wishes of the doctor.

This patient's doctor, Dr. Fred Wagshul, prescribed this for his patient. the judge did this request on behalf of the man's wife, who is his guardian.

now, onto this doctor...he's a member of the FLCCC alliance, which is a small group of doctors who includes quacks like Dr Pierre Kory.

The summary I read noted that this guy was not the patients doctor... Till the wife dug him up because he was willing to prescribe whatever. I mean, human dosages are 100x lower than what sorta worked in a petri dish, a level known to kill. What is problematic here is that this IS one of those "conspiracy to increase use" type things more than it is an effective treatment.
If this extends to antibiotics we're in an ugly case. But here its just stupid. Undermines the experts. Why should they try?

Opie, most places have some type of chief medical officer whose position is to inform the public through various media as well as participate in the panel of medical people that decide the next course of action as well as the ever changing policies. Then, in most cases a politician will finalize policy decisions based on advice from his medical officer(s).

Why do you feel soo cynical toward doctors? The message to get vaccinated will continue and more and more people will get vaccinated until the critical mass is reached. There will be holdouts. But most people will give in and comply because everybody else is more driven to want to restore normalcy sooner the better. Let the authority speak. Those that feel strongly opposed to the policy can decline, but must do so within the law.

Fortunately, after much resistance to creating a two-class system, the premier of Ontario with the advice of his medical officers agreed to a passport system to be implemented by October. The driving force is to return to normalcy in our schools, businesses and institutions. This affects over 14.5 million people.

No need to preach back and forth. Extreme circumstances call for extreme measures.

i'm sure you're right that she sought him out and i dont really blame her to be honest, i think a lot of people are willing to try something out if they see a spouse sitting in the ICU for weeks or months at a time.
