Product Help?
I'm from the FR-S side, but don't hurt me, I'm trying to help one of you guys!
The garage owner I go to has a 2.5GT, a Subaru race car, and a BRZ. His BRZ is tricked out, his DD, and all black. Well almost all black. He has the blue Subaru emblems front & rear. I could swear, even though I wasn't specifically looking, that I had seen replacement emblems for front and rear that were black and red instead. He says he's only seen stickers. Are there actual replacement emblems that are black and red that fit in the BRZ placements? He's been so awesome to me, I'd love to give them to him as a gift, as long as they're high quality that he'd be proud to put on his car. Do you know if I dreamed these up, or if they exist? If they exist, how do I find them? Hopefully someone can point me right to them, but if not, what are they called to differentiate from stickers so I can get the right things? Any help would be really appreciated. Great Subaru guy and he really deserves them. Thanks! |

Only overlays.
Nasioc has a writeup on how to split / paint the emblems but I havent seen it done with a BRZ yet. |

Damn!!!!
That would have been so cool. I'm assuming overlays don't look so hot? Definitely not the kind of gesture I was going for anyway. |

Now I have seen it! The overlays don't look bad, but probably not what you're going for. |

This is beginning to be a bit more expensive than I had meant it to be. He better let me play with his dyno! (Literal dyno, not some weird...nevermind) |

Thanks! Oh, he'll definitely love them, we talked about them, but I was dumb enough to put it in his head that it was actually a real thing. If I could make it work, free dyno pulls for me for life!
I just can't find them, stickers won't cut it, and so I'm left with trying to find a company to custom make them for me, or someone that actually has skills that can take apart a stock one and repaint it like a thread linked did... (from 2006 unfortunately). |

It's a present though, and a sticker just doesn't say what I need it to say. He saved my ass and a lot of money by being an incredible business owner, willing to go way above and beyond what he needed to in order to get my car tip top, where most people wouldn't have cared. I'm willing to have emblems custom made even (I think). Just trying to find alternate solutions first before even thinking what that might cost. |
