Do you have a dash cam to record what happened?

For the lawyer you'll have a better shot at the regional forums.

In the US, it's called Left on Red, red for a reason and yellow does not mean stop or slow down. It means proceed with caution. I'm not sure how that is in Canada.

Also, was the car paid off? If no, do you have GAP insurance?

OH NOOOOOOOOOOOO

I'm really sorry to hear this. At least you're still alive!
It's not uncommon to hear that people involved in an accident are ticketed if they were making a left turn. Here in AZ, i believe you are always at fault if you are turning left (which is a bit ridiculous, but it's how it is).

Good luck sorting things out, and hooray for being alright!

I am so sorry about the car. Were you hurt? Best thing is you survived through it with your life. Hopefully someone can recommended you options. I personally haven't had an experience with accidents/insurance yet.

There are situations that are unfortunate exceptions to this, like when youre about to turn left and the guy who WAS going to turn left in the opposite direction decides " oh hey i wanna go straight" and just goes for it as you're turning. Seen it before, and not much you can do about it. Not sure if that's what happened, but there are a few (very few) situations where you couldn't have really yielded...

Sorry to hear about the accident sechs. You may have more luck in the regional forum. The laws in the states are not the same as in Canada.

In the states, it would definitely been considered your fault as the turning car never has the right away.

Hopefully you weren't hurt and can get yourself a new car. Does Canada offer gap insurance?

Unfortunately its sounds like a failure to yield even if the person that hit you was trying to get through the light in the split second before it went red. Hope you are okay

Tough luck. Another reason why if it's busy, I just wait till it is red then go ensuring everybody is slowing down or stopped.

There a ton of FRS for sale in the GTA or Ontario. You shouldn't have any issues getting into one. Especially during this time of year. But to be honest, go for the brz. It just has nicer creature comforts and HID headlights.

Good luck.

Oh, and get a dashcam!

My sister had the same type of accident. She was at fault.

So 2 things, can anyone recommend a good traffic lawyer to help me fight this? And any one have luck negotiating with insurance adjusters?
Insurance called be back today and are saying they won't pay the full amount for my car :<

And I suppose does anyone know of any manual white 2013 FRS for sale in the GTA region? I'm looking for a new one .... :'(
Holy damn..glad you're alive.
