Not really bothered by the color but I dislike the ghost flames. You can also see the white has some pink pearlescent in it. It has some flaws, a couple tiny rust spots. My buddy that bought it paints cars for fun though. He actually went to school for bodywork and was in charge of the mold department for a large fiberglass manufacturing company for 20 years. His Bronco is in our building now since he is painting it tonight.

I had to zoom in to see the flames. I'm with you, not a fan. I would go a more classic color. Looks really straight. You mind me asking what he paid for it?

It's pretty solid, it just has some shoddy work like the digital dash and the wiring mess that created. Oh, and for some reason someone removed the choke and it's got some god awful parts store steering wheel in it. Most of it can be pretty easily fixed. He's already put a new radiator in it, picked up a factory steering wheel and a set of factory gauges. he paid 26.5k.

Lol, I did notice the AutoZone steering wheel.

Sounds like a fun project.

O' lord give me strength...
I have access to over $100k CDN at a very low interest rate and this just came up yesterday on Bring a Trailer. It's in Toronto, just a few short hours from me.

Get it, if you think you'd have the time to really use it and put some miles on it. None of us are getting any younger.

That's a well spec'd one too. Getting in/out looks to be a bit of a chore though.

i feel like an enclosed trailer and tow vehicle is a prerequisite for a caterham.

but it really comes down to: "would i actually use it or just stare at it?"

Sorry tor taking so long to review more critically. I agree with you guys. Not only that, but I see that he has the same bad habits I have deeply seated. I struggle to break myself of downshifting too late, to the point where I'm rev-matching and engaging the clutch mid-corner. It's a terrible habit and I can see that it contributed directly to his sloppier corners. He's great with his driveline control but it's no substitute for proper timing.

Chris lacks mechanical sympathy. He consistently gooses it before full clutch engagement. I don't care how good he is, he'll never get to drive my car.

If I had a "street legal" Caterham I'd drive it everywhere I could lol (which isn't many places but there are a lot of random car meets around here). My wife would probably hate me though.

Though a tow vehicle would definitely be necessary to go to any kind of track.
