Dead Sexy. But it kinda reminds me of a 2014 MR-2/S.

I would love to have any Cayman someday, one of my favorite looking cars.
I know nothing about working on them however, and that might be quite a different story. But won't stop me from dreaming ;D

I can see the resemblance in design with the new Boxster...

Looks nice, but Porsche has lost my interest for a while now because of how much importance they place on the ridiculous options that can come with their cars.

Sort of off-topic: I was a big fan of the '12 Cayman R, but it disgusted me when I was talking to my neighbor who purchased his loaded Cayman R for close to $90k! Base price on the car is under $70k, which is still too high for the R, in my opinion...

I realize even more now on why the FR-S makes more financial sense, hehe.

It resembles the Boxster because it is meant to be a Boxster with a hard top.

I couldn't ever afford this but I'd drive this over any 911.
The BRZ/FRS is patterned after this and they couldn't chose a more sweeter set of wheels.

I really like this new look. Will need to see in person to get full effect. I can see getting one but Porsche justs screws you on the options. A $65K Porsche can quickly turn into an $85K car.

That said if you can just stick with a couple of options on a base car it might be interesting. But...is it 2-2.5X's the car a BRZ/FR-S is?

Depends on the person I guess.

I'm a serious Porsche fan boy, and while I love the Cayman to death, I have a hard time justifying the additional money for a new Cayman S versus a BRZ.

Theres no question it's the better performer, it's built to a higher standard, the materials are nicer, etc.

But, I don't know if all that is worth an additional $30k+ over my new BRZ.

My thoughts also. As you can see in my sig I have an older air-cooled 911. But I'm am looking forward to seeing the new Cayman in the flesh and hoping to get a drive in one as well.

Meanwhile our BRZ/FR-S's are certainly up to the job!

I played around with the options one day and was able to double the base price of the car just using the options on the website, i didn't click every box either!

If I was way more loaded, then yes Cayman would be on the radar.

It's not the prettiest thing to look at. Though with some nicely sized wheels, it actually looks decent.

But, it sure is awesome to drive.
