3.5" was normal on a TomTom, Garmin, etc. a few years back. Back when I worked at CC, we sold way more of those than the 4.3" or 5" units, mainly because the cost was far lower. Even my extremely cheap low-midrange android phone has a 3.2" screen. Most mid-high end phones have the same size screen as portable nav units.

Besides, with text-to-speech you rarely even need to look at the screen. The guiding voice will tell you when and at which street to turn. I can hit one button and say "Navigate to <insert place here>" and it'll find where I want to go and tell me how to get there.

Here is a good compromise to the Bespoke...

Ony $549 MSRP and it does bluetooth audio streaming from android and iphone and it does apps and works on both. The pioneer app radio 2 will not do bluetooth audio streaming.

Firmware upgradable and had dual usb 1-wire inputs.

Still too small for real navigation while you are driving, but to each their own. Sure it's doable but a nice 6.1 inch or greater screen is way better. Plus your car looks a bit ghetto with you phone mounted to the windshield.

That's why these app radios are going to take off big, if they can keep the prices low.

Looks good! I was checking out both the Pioneer AVH-P8400BH and Kenwood DX719:
http://www.kenwoodusa.com/Car_Entert...e_Video/DDX719

The Kenwood doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the Pioneer, but the power output is RMS 22 watts compared to the Pioneer at RMS 14 watts and BeSpoke at RMS 16 watts.

Looks promising but it looks like, as with BeSpoke, you have to have an iPhone for NAV and that function isn't available until August. I do like that it has a real volume knob and two USB ports. you should be able to route the on in the back to the USB port on the center console.

Has anyone heard about Android functionality for the Bespoke system? I can't stand apple products and if it won't have the ability to use android I'll have to pass on it and get the appradio2 or something else of the sort.

Last I heard is it was supposed to be "coming in a few months" but no specific dates.
