Living up to your handle, I posted this in the MR2-Celica thread yesterday because I think this will likely lead into the next Celica model. They just used an 86 shell for the test mule and concept.

There's a series of about 4 videos on YT with Larry Chen documenting various stages of the build. It's a neat build, but although I am not a fabricator, the front subframe they built didn't look that robust. Otherwise it looks like a clean, and cool, build to me.

Doesn't mean Toyota isn't planning a new car but I don't think they're using this for anything other than gauging fan/market reaction. Also, someone I know told me this car is likely being crushed after it's done at SEMA unfortunately.
