I don’t know if anyone here watches UEFA Champions League, but what a game. What a game.

i think it all started with me wanting to "be like dad", who always carried a leatherman with him everywhere.

around 5th-6th grade, my dad tried enticing me and my siblings to get better grades by promising us our own leatherman if we got above a b+ average in school. i was never that good at school, so bought my own knives from flea markets, which were almost entirely stocked with the cutlery corner dealer packs(they paid about $1-2/knife, resold them for $4-10/knife).

just about my entire collection is frost cutlery or mtech. most will never get beyond sharpish.

i didn't get into sharpening for a long time, just changed which knife was the go to for that week. couldn't afford better knives, but knew what i was getting with the cheap one's.

finally got into sharpening after i got jealous of sending knives into leatherman for repair, and they'd come back sharp enough to cut thick fog...

I do… just not a Madrid fan, so I was cheering for City… but clearly Pep & the team choked again. Not sure why City spend crazy ton of money for Grealish, he’s a waste of money.

With that said, Benzima have been amazing this season. Hats off to him

My local Fastenal never answers the phone or email. They suck so I started finding specialty hardware through McMaster and it was cheaper too lol.

To be fair, their online catalog is pretty kick-ass. Once the layout is understood, it becomes even more valuable than the hardcopy.

Yeah, I use their online catalog as a resource all the time. They just don't want to answer a phone call or respond to an emailed PO

Based on the junk mail my work email account receives, it looks like we're up to the "this is how you market to Gen Z" part, but not yet the "Gen Z is the root of all evil" part.

I hate Grainger, they are overpriced as hell too, but their web ordering is easy. They just have the market cornered on some of the gear motors we use and I don't have time to rework the equipment to accept other gear motors since it was designed around the Dayton motor which Grainger exclusively distributes. Pisses me off. They just discontinued one of the motors we were using for a feed system and the next closest option is triple the price

Yeah, it still sucks. That Dayton motor doesn't use a standard face mount either so I have to suck it up for now. I just need to rework the assembly but....

I was called up by Active Executive Director for lil chitchat. You know that's never gonna end in "chitchat". When I got there, my boss was there as well. AED asked the issue/matter about recent project that's brought a lot of unhappy staffs. As I was listening to the long talk, pretty much it came down to fucking ADPS send me under the bus and blame EVERYTHING on me (*look up previous rant). AED wanted to hear my side of view along w verifying w my boss.

I knew this shit was gonna happen, so I've bought my work ipad and forwarded all the email between me & ADPS, all the docs for all other alternative options that I gave ADPS, I even provided the follow-up survey/feedback from unhappy staff and email to ADPS. I even told ADPS w all the unhappy staff and gave alternative solution that I was willing to help fix to somewhat satisfy those unhappy staff, but he rejected every damn one of em. I've updated my boss every step of the way, so she knew what was going on. She verified all the info and she even forward her email between me and her to show all those things are legit.

Now ADPS is in the hot seat and not me. IDK why he feels he's threaten by me. It's not like I want his job.
