dig around in between the hood and reinforcement with a wire or stick. I bet you'll find the remnants of an egg sack.

Seal it in an evidence bag and ship it to @Tcoat for a detailed analysis.

Looks more faded splattered spots compared to the rounded dots I'm experiencing.

I had a little habitat of spiders and crickets. I gave the crickets some M&M's, well, left the M&M's in the habitat. They ate it...and died. Maybe I should pour some M&M's into the gas tank
