Fashionably late: my 2013 Galaxy Blue BRZ Limited

Hello ladies and gents,

After a long year of waiting and 3 attempts at ordering a BRZ, I have finally taken delivery of my 2013 Galaxy Blue Silica BRZ Limited 6MT, #9833!

Eventually I hope to organize this thread a little better and get some story introduced, but that will have to wait 'til I have more time!

Here's how she currently sits:

Mods list thus far:
-De-badged trunk
-3M Di-Noc carbon fiber vinyl wrapped dash panel
-Tap-Turn flasher module
-JDM frameless rearview mirror
-JPM Coachworks Alcantara shift and e-brake boots
-BPS matte silver short throw shifter and shift knob
-Cusco Sports accelerator pedal
-Cusco drift knob, silver
-Clear bra and Opti-Coat treatment
-35% tint all around
-Beat Sonic sharkfin antenna
-Prodrive Japan GC-012L forged wheels in British silver: 18x8.5" +45 front, 18x9.5" +45 rear
-Bridgestone Potenza RE-11 tires: 225/40R18 front, 255/35R18 rear
-Eibach Sportline lowering springs
-Perrin header-back exhaust with resonator and high-flow cat
-Advan Emotion replica rear diffuser
-Whiteline positive shift bushing
-GReddy magdrain plug
-JDM clear corner markers

Planned mods for the next year
-2008+ STi Brembo brake conversion
-KW Clubsport or Öhlins Road and Track coil-overs
-JPM Coachworks interior goodies
-V1 radar detector
-Repaint silver interior plastics with ALSA Ghost Chrome paint for real metal appearance
-Carsmo rear spoiler
-Chargespeed Bottom Line kit
-forced induction! (undecided on which turbo/supercharger kit)

Here's a photo dump for now, because as we all know, this thread is worthless without PICS!

Picked up at the shipyard with 4 miles on it:

At the dealership waiting for registration/plates:

Window label: $28,265 with no accessories

Engine bay; nothing you haven't seen before:

At home, getting the plastics taken off and cleaned (excuse the temporary front plate mounting; didn't want to drill into the bumper)

Dat ass, after de-badging:

Dental floss was all it took.

In the garage, drying off after its first wash (bought brand new wash gear just for this car):

Waking up to this was a great feeling:

Stock interior before CF wrap:

And after:

Drove it to work, acquiring it's first rock chip

And at home, with the rest of the fleet (you can see I have a thing for small, light RWD cars)

Today, Artemis (that's my new name for her) is at Driven Perfection getting new car prep, Opti-Coat and clear bra for the whole nose of the car. The initially told me I would have to wait until July because they were booked solid, but then someone must have cancelled because they were able to squeeze me in. It will be going back in for window tint at a later date.

I also ordered a BPS matte silver short throw shifter and a Tap Turn flasher module. My bonus checks have started trickling in, so I plan to order wheels/tires, coilovers and exhaust very soon!

Thanks! The biggest compliment I get from everyone is how much they like the color I plan on keeping all of my stock parts in case I need to sell the car in the future.

Aww yeahh, now I can stop driving the E30 so much and perform the timing chain service and replace the rear wheel bearings. Then I have to decide whether to keep it or sell it... I don't really need 3 lightweight RWD's in my life.

yeah - it's probably the least common colour (that i've seen), but it really does look nice. also adds to it's uniqueness.
understood on the stock parts - i'd do the same myself.

Congrats man, I remember when you had to pass on your original order, so I suspect it made picking up this car and driving it home even sweeter

I went back and forth between GBS and WRB color schemes and I honestly could have flipped a coin. I love your color. I am getting clearbra and tint very soon as well and I also think my first mod will be a Perrin 2" antenna vs the stock one (not really feeling the shark fin on this car).

Look forward to seeing what you do with rims and tires. What about winter? Are you getting winter tires?

Man, that looks awesome. I passed by Marshfield yesterday on the way to the Cape biking. I hope that you'd be attending one of these meetups around here or the South Shore, because I want to see if badly. Keep it up. I really like the carbon fiber looks inside.

Artemis - Love the name. I'm a fan Greek deities myself. And all mythology's alike. Make the name well suited and go hunt some Porsches at the track!

How long did it take to get done and whats the pricing like at Driven Perfection? I noticed that they're located in Weymouth and I'm only 5 miles away from them. Need to get my BRZ opti-coated as well.

#781-331-0009 Give 'em a call or shoot them an e-mail on their website for info! They're booked up pretty solid through July now but I was able to get squeezed in because they had a cancellation. Speaking of which... PICS!

And my favorite one, back at home:

My BPS short throw arrived, looking sexy:

I'm getting ready to order a set of Prodrive GC012-L wheels; they aren't offered for sale in the U.S. but I have a man in Japan with the hookup I'm a little hesitant to drop that much coin on a set of wheels, but I think it'll be worth it once they're on the car!

As seen on the Cusco BRZ:

Welcome to the club. Debadging is the way to go with GBS, the back end is way too cluttered otherwise. Isn't it neat how closely the background of the Subaru logo matches our paint?

I did the opti-coat and clear bra as well.

How do you get "#9833"? Is that part of the VIN or something? I am curious what my number is. I thought there had only been ~6,000 sold.
