EDIT: removed price from post. Send a message to @Ross or another dealer if you're interested.

@Ross might be able to help those looking to purchase a standalone.

one of the guled lines for being a dealer with Emtron is to not release pricing info onto the internet. I believe this so you will deal directly with your preferd dealer and dealers will not be pricing against each other.

I just drove the car again today after @Ross finished up the wiring harness and installed the Emtron KV8. EPS (Electronic Power Steering), tachometer, speedometer, fuel level, coolant temp are all functional. The Emtron will also take care of the traction control.
You just confirmed what I have been looking for......the fuel gage does work with the can system.....thought maybe it didn't but had my suspicions....it too goes fail safe then....it works in increments of three and will only move to the next lower position when it is reached...so full half then empty......still waiting for my can solution and now have my answer for the sacked out fuel gauge.

When I had the ProEFI running it would be full, half, and empty (never got to that increment, just assuming). I remember filling it up once and glancing at the fuel gauge and seeing it drop immediately to half once I put 150-200 miles on it. So I believe you're correct with the 3 position increments.

Kind of a stupid question but does cruise control and some of the lesser car functions work with the Emtron? If not are there any plans to?

I'll test it tomorrow when I pick the car up after dyno.

I have to dial it in but if keeping it fly by wire cruise should work. I am working through communication with the abs module. I am getting some communication currently but not all. There is an identification code causing the light to illuminate.

Hi.
Nick here from Pavlotech. I replied in the Vorshlag swap thread because there were some questions about the Emtorn series ECUs. Figured I'd add my two cents here too.

Ross is a dealer and has perfected the installation of this drivetrain using the Emtron ECU system into the GT86. Currently, we are working out some of the CAN integration functions the ECU supports, but it is important to keep in mind that more often than not, ALL CAN functions are NOT always supported. With a motorsport oriented ECU system like the Emtron, the focus for traction control for example is the internal motorsport closed loop function the ECU has. This type of traction makes cars faster, instead of slower during regulation.

That doesn't mean a deeper level of integration is not possible or going to happen, just keep in mind the reasoning behind making each function work. Basic gauges, power steering, some ABS functions are important. Remember, most of you are switching the ENGINE out for a completely different unit/brand. It is a tall order to just expect everything to work as if you bought the car with a different motor in general. Food for thought

so do we have finalized list of what will not work without crank signal?
with my swap the only thing i really think i need to work is power steering and the basic functions like lights, windows, and locks.
edit: forgot to mention i have been told the lights, locks, and windows work no issues without the crank signal.
