Hmmm... custom bracket? You may be onto something.

Even if the seat sits high, with a lower bracket will be enough to drop him down 3/4 of an inch.

At some point in the past someone was going to try to make something but nothing came of it. I am sure people who have actual experience (unlike me) with such things could figure it out and make it work.

Make up a bracket. Install in your car. Ship car down to me. I will have crash tested for you. If we have a dummy large and heavy enough. Make sure you get it right though since we only get one crack at it.

On this week's Top Gear:FT86Club....

@Ultramaroon demonstrates how to fit a big guy into a reasonably sized car
@Tcoat tests some new brackets
@Dadhawk kills some feral pigs with his Suburban....

Losing weight might be easier than finding said seat.

If you figure out how to extend the steering column more in a 100% functional / safe way. I'm in. The stock setup is not enough for me either. Last 2 times I drove a BMW, I was REALLY drawn to how far the telescope goes. It's like they really actually care about you being able to tune all of the driver interfaces to your body's needs. My arms are definitely too extended in this car when I have the seat all the way back. So much so that for the last couple months I've been driving with the seat one click forward... which at our heights, you know that's not ideal.
