Very nice.
I really struggle with cars since I totally suck at gloss coats. After decades of flat military paints where I slap it on and add grime I just do not have the touch to get a decent gloss coat. I have been working on a car recently to attempt to get a decent gloss coat (pictures coming soon) and it has taken me 3 times as long to get to the almost finished point as it would for a tank or aircraft.

Exactly, the paint process and handling of the exterior finished pieces is nerve wracking. One little dab of glue on the fender when setting the headlight in place.. or not realizing you had some on your finger then touch a window glass.. precarious. If I did it over again I can't say I wouldn't make the same mistakes again. Can't fake experience.

I make the same error over and over when doing cars. I also have the disadvantage of having two long hair cats that like to help. Not an issue with flat paint but anything gloss becomes a game of Find The Hair Embedded In The Paint. It makes zero difference how hard I try there WILL be cat hairs.

After this current project I have decided that moving forward all car paint jobs (I have several I want to do) will be a flat base coat with a gloss or semi gloss top coat. Pretty much how they do the real thing. This will rule out anything with a pearl finish of course but I never like the pearl on a model anyway since it doesn't look in scale.

That is exactly what I do with most.
When I start more into my The Cars I Have Owned class it will be really easy since it will be mostly primer, rust and faded paint.
The problem is The Cars I Would Like To Own class I want to be showroom.

Ho is building a model kit. As soon as a model build is involved I research the total crap out of a subject. I mean at an almost compulsive level. It is actually a sickness.
I can probably tell you more about the A-3 Skywarrior than Ultra and he flew in the damn things!
I can spend hundreds of hours just looking at pictures and reading about a subject before I even cut a part off a sprue.
I need help.

It doesn't hurt that I am a sixties kid when Peanuts cartoons and the Snoopy songs were at their zenith.

OK So here is my first venture into cars in a while.
I have several to do thanks much to @Sapphireho and his birthday presents a couple of years ago and a few years of collecting random kits of cars I have owned.
As I said before I will have two categories. One will be nice new cars I would like to own (You WILL see a distinct trend) and cars in the condition they were actually in when I owned them (this is about as random a list as you could get).

This first is a want list '70 Plymouth Cuda Hemi. It is a much newer mould from Revell so has nice crisp details and loads of little extras like chrome door handles, separate windshield wipers and even an interior mirror. All in all a beautiful kit. So I decided it would be first to hone my rusty car building skills.
Since it was a gift from Ho I decided I would paint it a nice non stock blue colour that is very close to the FRS blue. It didn't hurt that I had a really old bottle of random touchup paint in exactly that colour.

It is really hard to get decent pics of glossy surfaces!

The chrome trim is all Bare Metal Foil and was a total pain to put and keep on! Bumpers and other kit chrome parts were sprayed with flat clear to knock the really bright plastic look down a bit and then covered with my floor polish finish to bring them back to a more scale brightness.

Went with the very popular white and black interior and it looks really great with the blue. The white does have some slightly dirty thinner brushed over it to give some definition and highlights.

The hemi and engine bay is a real gem. I did not do full plumbing but added plug wires to busy it up even more.

Suspension is very nice as well. Many of the older kits really fall down underneath but this has almost everything.

All in all I am satisfied with my first venture and give it a 7/10 and hope that such things as adding chrome get easier as I move through these.

May as well build them. I wondered if I could find some reasonably priced and discovered they were reissued for the first time ever in 2020. Your rare $200 kits are now valueless. Be lucky to get $20 each now even for original run ones.
