Lol. Did a little google search to find that on the other "gr86" forum, they have already all began to claim that it is officially a turbo charged vehicle as there is clearly an intercooler to be seen. The claims people make off of some spy shots are becoming more and more amusing to me.

I have had my bumper off enough times to say that is the AC condenser in front of the radiator.

Wheels look to be the 18" wheels off the GR Yaris. 5x100 goes on.

Turbo confirmed. Should have lapped him like 10 times.

It looked like the vents both in front of the wheel and behind were at least open to the wheel well based on the pictures in the OP.

hmm the fender vent looks like it was a cutout, the ones on the bumper actually look like they were starting to use that design.

Perhaps low key it did turn out to be a test mule for the second gen 86, since the only changes to the current car were the vent cutouts.......maybe just aerodynamics testing at this stage.

Now that we finally have better pics it looks like the fan art from bestcar was pretty accurate after all. Minus the protrude taillights on the 3/4 view and the mesh grille pattern.

They even got the rear fender extensions right. The mule has that, maybe to fit a wider base tire?

I showed these prototype pics to a friend and because she's into car design and sketching, she did a quick pair of image traces to show off the lines of the car a little better. She graciously gave me permission to share them with you all. Thanks B!

Functional vents on the front bumper and side fender based on the front wheel liner ducts.

Lower rocker panels are now a separate part and replaceable, that's nice.

A clean progression.

Thank you Subaru and Toyota!

LOL if a $25k-$30k car has working vents while a "halo" $50k car that took 7yrs+ to developed has 8 tacked on fake vents.

Sigh. 2021 will be expensive. Fingers crossed a dealer offers at least $8K for my car and that they won't be marking them up. Something tells me that won't be the case. At least interest rates will still be low, which is a benefit.
