Talking Bulletproof Automotive's SWP 6MT BRZ Limited

As our primary business has been the focus on JDM cars for over 10 years, we've been carefully following the "new-86" story since the car first became a rumor. Since we were heavily involved in the S2000 market and have owned several S2K demo cars, our love for true FR sports cars runs deep, so naturally the new 86 chassis was a car we were very excited about.

Several months ago we posted up on our Facebook page a poll of all our followers whether we should get an FR-S or a BRZ as our demo car; with resounding feedback, they chose the BRZ. We placed a pre-order with Subaru of Santa Monica and the wait began.

On Thursday, we were finally able to take delivery of this awesome car! And here it is, our Satin White Pearl 6MT Limited BRZ.

We have really big plans for this car and we'll definitely be keeping everybody updated going forward, but expect some of the freshest JDM parts along with some of our own creations to end up on the car.

Congrats and welcome! I'm sure you'll brew up a good recipe for the BRZ.

Congrats on the BRZ. What number on the list were you? Do you know if yours was the first to come in at the dealership?

After seeing that S2K, not sure I want to see what's going to happen to the BRZ.

Hahaha, yeah I wasn't gonna say it at first, but that thing is pretty ugly, lol. Probably blistering fast, but not gonna win any beauty contests any time soon.

Hey, thanks for the welcome! I'll give Ben your regards. He's currently out of the country on business, but definitely give us a call in a week or two and have a chat! Ben should be around and we'd love to help you with your beautiful car!

I believe the Bulletproof BRZ was the first from Santa Monica. They had it a whole week before it went off to development.

Well we only have 100% JDM parts. Since we are Top Secret USA, there is sort of an image / heritage to uphold. Just like you wouldn't put spinners on a '67 Fastback, the Japanese tuners have a specific aesthetic you can love or hate but we love our cars. And beauty is in the eye of the beholder... and this widebody baby is s/c'ed so it's not JUST a show car

Thanks! We have some custom stuff in the works and of course, we have a great relationship with all the JDM brands. Please let us know what we can do for you, and check out all of our threads! We made them into catalogues to make the forum more organized / less spam-filled.

We're aiming to have some cars in shows like SEMA and TAS. Does that count? Haha... thanks for your interest at least. Let us help you make your beauty, beautiful! Give us a call.

Well, as a major teaser update, we just wanted to let you guys know that our shop BRZ has been undergoing extensive R&D / parts development with ... *drum roll* ...

COSWORTH USA

I've been told not to release any information at this time, but I'm sure if you're sneaky, you've already seen/heard things in the grapevine. The car is NOWHERE near finished and only performance parts have been looked into.

We're still deciding on aero, but I can say that the wheels going on our car are SEXY. I'm literally sitting right next to them, but, again, can't give any more info than that! Watch this space for more updates in the near future!

Liking the color scheme. I've been thinking of picking up a set of Assetto Garas myself. What are the wheel/tire/Eibach suspension specs?

I love bulletproof, I'm always checking that website out. I can't wait to see that car armed to the teeth with all types of sweet parts. The highest priority part on my list is a diffuser...please make one!

Hey!... the wheels and tires were an emergency set purchased by Cosworth for track testing. We will be changing the aesthetics once we get our hands back on the Bulletproof BRZ.

The Eibach sticker is actually a partnership between Cosworth and Eibach in the development of suspension parts for the Bulletproof BRZ. Can't say much until Cosworth gives us the okay!

But we LOVE companies who do their R&D! Measure twice, cut once is always a good motto!
